Mom & Dad's Southwest Heathers

Mom & Dad's Southwest Heathers

The pattern for this afghan came from the American School of Needlework's "Knit & Crochet (Lion Brand) Homespun Afghans" leaflet, and is called Southwest Heathers. I used Rococo, Deco and Shaker (the latter instead of Sierra) They go together nicely and I had them all available from a moving sale spree. I put this down when I was almost finished because it was too big and heavy to take along and work on. When I picked it up again, I realized I had made an error in the beginning and propagated it throughout the entire afghan! Instead of working the Front Post Triple Crochet stitches into the 2nd row below, I was working them into the next row below. Needless to say, I now have a design modification in this project, adding a personal touch which I will leave out next time. Next time? I would like to make a variation of this afghan again, perhaps in different colors, if I still have enough Homespun left after doing another project or two on my list!
