I wanted to make a baby afghan for my friend Pav and her new baby. I found this gem in the June 2000 issue of Crochet With Heart. I used Caron Wintuk, and, following my pattern of not following patterns, I added a fifth pastel color, bringing the spectrum to Pink, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Lavender. I was lucky to receive an abundance of compliments while making this afghan, because it took a lot longer than I had expected, and on top of that, the baby was early :-)
