Seat Cushion

Seat Cushion

I got the idea for this project from the "Quick Stadium Cushion" from Leisure Arts' "Creative Crochet", but it bears little resemblance to the original. The rationale for this project is that I often attend meetings where the chairs are metal. I have a sensitivity to nickel so in the summer, when I wear shorts, I can't sit on the chairs without a reaction. I figured a cushion would provide the solution to this problem, as well as a little extra padding at the same time. I chose one of the Red Heart Supersaver variegated yarns for this project, because they are so vibrant. I had a hard time doing anything other than a basic single crochet with four strands of worsted weight yarn and a Q hook, so I stuck with that. I figured out how large the cushion needed to be and then crocheted until I ran out of yarn!
